I became a Cubs fan in 2002 and the very next year, it seemed like a magical tale written in gold, we were having probably one of our best seasons ever. and after we beat Atlanta in the NLDS, it looked like we would beat the underdog Marlins in the NLCS. Everything looked good until that incident in the 8th inning where Bartman arguably cost the Cubs their shot at the first WS title in 50 plus years, that series still haunts me as a Cubs fan, we should have won that game quite honestly, instead we lost and never made it back not even close.
I often wonder or regret it that we did fail in that playoff series, Florida wasnt that good of a team as we were that year. But will we ever get their agian this year with Pinella or will 2003 be the closest we ever get agian?
Can the Cubs be a good team this year or even be a wild card team if the cards fall that way for them?
