Yeah, I dont see either of them being significantly better than the backups at those positions, either. Maybe (MAYBE) Griffen gives you a better game or two in spurts, but not at what you're going to pay for him as a veteran pass rusher. Plus, you're not going to sign him with a backup role in mind.
Apple is not a better option than PJ, CJGJ, Patrick, etc. He's had two years to improve and he regressed. If you need him to play, the Saints are better off tanking for a high draft pick.
