Could the New Orleans Saints add a few more players from the talent still on the free agent market?

I don't think we have the "wallet" to spend more money on free agents anymore.
I wanted Ogletree and I still be happy if we bring him. But right now I think Marc Barron will be ideal to come for the specific role of defending against linebackers.
Depth at any position with a veteran is always a good thing.I would feel very comfortable if Apple was brought back in to the fold.
I think his cover skills are very good at times. It’s a matter of knowing his weaknesses and limitations and we should be in better position to know that than almost all others.

I’d would like to bring Apple back also. IMO being knocked out of the starting role may boost his drive to be better. When we traded for him and he had something to prove his first season here he played very well, then started slacking last season. Sometimes competition brings out the best in certain players and I feel Apple will benefit from it greatly. Plus, in Nickle and dime packages we could have Lattimore and Apple on the boundaries with Jenkins and CGJ in the slots.
Here is the problem with Eli, who I liked.
He or any other person coming as a backup has to play special teams, and also has to have the flexibility to play different roles. Eli is just a boundary corner. We can't put him on the slot.
So, if we would bring more depth, I think Darqueze Dennard (formerly of the bengals) may be a better option to come for a backup role.
