Whether or not you listen depends on WHO is doing the talking. There has been a lot of talk on the type of corner we want. Let's see what a guy (who many consider the BEST in the game) has to say about what we should be looking for:

Hmm,
So which corner is basically 6 feet tall, runs a sub-4.3 40, and has a vertical leap of more than 3 feet?
We often decry the "measurables" of the combine, but Champ Bailey is a guy who has them and knows how to use them. What the combine doesn't measure is how smart a guy is on the field, but having that kind of athletic ability to start is something that simply can't be taught, which is why coaches get so high on players with that kind of ability even though they haven't proven they know how to use it yet.
Coaches figure they're the guys who can teach that 'underachiever' to utilize those fantastic numbers. More often than not, though, the guy with great ability who did nothing in college comes into the NFL and does nothing there either.
I don't know that anyone has the 40 times, vertical leaps, etc. yet, so after the combine we'll know who "measures up" to Champ Bailey in innate ability. The next question is if any of those can measure up in football smarts...

I've seen mocks and scouting reports having him available to us in the 3rd round. That would be good value.

King was rated the best cover corner in the Big Ten last season by The Sporting News because he blanketed eventual first-round draft picks Ted Ginn Jr. of Ohio State and Robert Meachem of Tennessee. King limited them to a combined six catches for 48 yards.

There's got to be a huge flaw in his game somewhere because if he's as fast as that says and he shut down Meach and Ginn combined for 48 yards, why is he a 3rd round prospect?

He was involved with some off the field drama, but any charges were dropped.

according to that site King's 40 isn't as good as Champ's. I guess we will get to see him at the combine I hope.

Size(he's a little thin in the frame) is also another factor why he's not being talked about as much, he's got tremendous natural ability and great cover skills, I've watched quite a bit of Penn St games over the years and if he was there in the 3rd round I would be happy to get him. I personally don't think he'll last that long, I think he goes somewhere in 2nd round after he has great combine workouts. It's possible though as it seems that cornerback is pretty deep this year.
