WOW! That was awesome! Best MMA fight I've seen in years. That Cung Le is one great fighter and Frank Shamrock is as well. I urge anybody who missed it, if you have Showtime, check out the rebroadcast. Or find it on youtube if you must. One for the ages!

I picked Le to win this fight. He really does have some great stand-up skills.

Yeah, I am crazy impressed by Le. He's definitely the next great MMA fighter, soon to be a household name imo if he can maintain this level. Every kick was just bone-crushing (literally). I have to hand it to Shamrock, too. It takes two great fighters to make a great fight and he definitely delivered as well. I don't watch a tremendous amount of MMA, but I will never miss a Cung Le fight from here on out.

I am impressed by Le's takedown defense. A lot better than I expected. I really want to see how good he is on the ground. Not sure if that'll happen anytime soon. I expect his next match to be against a striker. Le is a crowd favorite and he is going to be a big draw from now on out. XC may have found themselves a star and I think Le can take them far. He is unique and his style is so flashy but yet it's so effective. Too bad he's already 35, because his career in MMA is just beginning.

MMA fans should find a way to watch this fight if they haven't already. It's one of those fights you watch MMA for.

He looked good. I wondered why Shamrock didn't take him down but they were talking about Le's wrestling being better than Frank's. Who knows but it was a very interesting fight. Le versus Robbie Lawler?

I can't believe how bad Bill Goldberg is at calling the fight.

"One trained at 21,000 feet - the other at 14,000 feet. Let's see if it makes a difference."

Was he serious? or just joking but not funny. Either way they should dump him.

Le looked good...I was glad to see him pull it out. I'm not sure how he'll hold up at that weight though...he looked pretty small to be at 185. If they put Lawler up against him, it would be a much tougher match for Cung IMO.

Why is this a bad statement, in your opinion?

So many issues with the statement. The merit. The timing of said statement.

The guys were fighting, not pre-fight hype.

How could it possibly make a difference? Does Goldturd know exactly how hard each guy trained at the respective altitudes?

If I run 10 miles a day at sea-level and you run 1 mile a day in Denver...

Also, to put Goldturd's poor commentating into perspective, you have to listen to a qualified analyst such as Bas Rutten or Joe Rogan.

There's plenty of difference.

There's a reason why Kenyans win every marathon (for example). I'm not a medical expert, but I know that the body becomes acclimated to the lower oxygen levels at the higher altitudes, and when those persons perform in an event held thousands of feet closer to sea level, their bodies thrive on the plentiful oxygen levels, much moreso than a person who has trained at an altitude thousands of feet closer to sea level.

Methinks you have a particular amount of personal disdain for "Goldturd" (and given the ego in question, it's not difficult to understand why), and that's manifesting itself as a bit of hypercritical analysis.

Youthinks wrong. I watched WCW when WWF was kickin' their arses. Goldie was the man and I respect the fact he got out of the biz when he did before he mutilated his body.

Having said that, he is a poor commentator for MMA. He's on the shows due to namesake only. If his name was HouDat he wouldn't be on Showtime.... IMHO. (no offense if you are indeed on Showtime of course)

>>Goldie was the man

:nono: A terrible overhyped idiot. I wouldn't have liked him when I was in highschool much less as the phony, undefeated "face" WCW made him out to be 15 years later. Getting-Old-Berg was a stupid Bischoff ploy especially considered he actually lost a few matches before they gave him his push as the steroids kicked in.

**** him. :17:
