I looked at a sony series 2 sxrd xbr and I can honestly say I was wowed by the picture. It is the only tv that I can say definitely looked better than my hitachi crt rp.

its not quite a flat panel but is very thin. It has better black levels than plasma or lcd, which is very important to me. when prices come down I may look to get one.
