it had to be at least a year and a half, maybe even 2 years....i was working in the field and 90% of the work we did was on that side of the pond.....we used to stop there at least 2 times a week....we would even stop there if it was not on the way to our job site....15 minute detour for those things is worth it

Krispy Kreme>>>over rated.

Shipley or even Donut Hole far surpass IMO.

I have to agree with you on Shipley's. Man they are good. They almost melt in you mouth. Yum. I don't know anything about the Donut Hole.

Shipley's is much better than Krispy Kreme

Harlows in Pineville is pretty good as well

I doubt that the Shipley's in Monroe is the same as those but, our Shipleys in Monroe is the best... evah!

Ehh...you could say that. Shipley's is headquartered here.

For my money, I like Shipley's, but Meche's Donuts in Lafayette is the best there is.

Mmmmmmn. Donuts. Probably may favorite food in the world.

The old Krispy Kremes before they went all gaga corporate fastfood were awesome and full of tile and they were $2.10 a dozen or $.30 a piece. We used to go in to the old KK at 3 in the morning in Richmond and watch the incredible machines make them and their coffee wasn't bad either.

Any easterners out there experience the wonder of the original KKs?

For grocery store donuts, Giant food stores around the DC metro area were quite rockin.
