I've been thinking lately about getting a dog, and remembered a
friend of the family had used the Greyhound Project to adopt a retired
race dog. I have heard Greyhounds can be good pets and I think their demeanor would fit my family well. Has anyone ever done this that
could give me a little insight about the process.

If I ever get another dog, that's what I'm doing.

But I'm at a point in my life where I have no desire to walk a dog 2 or 3 times a day, nor clean up after it in my yard.
You should adopt a dog with no legs and a catheter.

Any kind of rescue dogs make very good pets. I have a friend that got a greyhound from the retired racing dog rescue. Such a great family dog.

Knew a guy who adopted a few, he seemed to like them a lot.

When I taught dog obedience classes, I had several Greyhounds and their owners in my classes. Great dogs; very quiet and regal, and so good around the other dogs. If I had room for a big dog, I'd get one.

I adopted one 11 years ago. Best dog I've ever owned, and I've owned several. Fantastic, I can't wait to adopt another, but I need a yard, I live in an apartment now. Get one, heck, get two. Quiet dogs, great with people.
