This just in

Drew can make a long throw. HA

Did you just see the first drive of the panthers game?

Still questioning if Drew can make a long hard throw.

Maybe the title of this thread should be changed.

The word truth is misused.

Brees can't throw an NFL 15 yard out. We saw it on 2 plays in a row where he lobbed the ball to the sideline. He can't throw the ball down the field unless a guy is open by 10 yards. He doesn't trust himself to get it there, and he won't even try. When we crucify our receivers we need to remember this. Some WRs have to run routes more than 15 yards down the field on any given play. But they won't be getting thrown to because of Drew's arm strength.

By the time we get to the playoffs, some team will shut down the short passes and the run, and we won't be able to take advantage on 15 yards and deeper opportunities. And then if the defense doesn't carry us, we will be out again.

What?

He has touch. That matters equally

His eyes/reads more than make up for any issues with arm strength. a Lot of QB's have cannons but can only diagnose 1-2 routes that's much easier to defend than a "OK" arm but can read 4-5 routes effectively.
So why doesn’t he throw downfield then

Td to 87 traveled 30 yards in the air, wonder how good this 9 kid could of been if he just had an arm

this Hard Truth thread is staring to become funny.. Hard Truth is, most passes over 20 yards have a >50% completion rate.. the Hard Truth is Drew has a 75% completion rate throwing majority of his passes 15 yards and under.
2 - 12 yard passes are just as good as 1 20 yard pass..

Brees had some very long passes today. If it weren't for pass interference(Not called) at least one would have been for a score. I dont know which Brees you're looking at but he finds the open receiver most of the time.

only saw a few bad throws -- and had one dropped that was perfect downfield by Ginn
