Has anyone seen the movie Ted starring Mark Wahlberg and Seth McFarlane(sp?)?

Just curious on you guys take. Haven't seen it but might catch a matinee. So far the critics are giving it 3/5 stars. But I don't really care about the critics. I think the average movie goer is usually on par with movie opinions.

Saw it last night. Was ok. Seems like the first 20 or so minutes have already been shown. Few other funny scenes, but not many. I do like family guy and american dad a lot, and im not sure its as good as those tbh. Ending is pretty transparent. Id personally say unless this is a movie you just have to see, wait for the blu ray.

From the trailer, this looks pretty lame to me. I'll consider watching it when it hits free TV.

It was pretty bad. Outside of a handful of laugh out loud ted one-liners, the comedy was not sustained throughout the film and the storyline was stale. I went expecting just about everything that would come out of ted's mouth would be hilarious similar to Stewie in Family Guy, and it wasn't the case. Not worth the trip to the theaters imo.

I actually really liked it. I wasn't expecting a good story, just to laugh a lot and I did. The Flash Gordon stuff had me in stitches.

Just came back from it. I enjoyed it and better than I expected.
It was also more crowded than I thought it would be. It sold out 2 times before I was finally able to get a ticket.

Just saw it today and thought it was really funny. Flash Gordon stuff was funny but how many viewers of this film can make the connection IDK. I will say that Norah Jones was looking hot! For my money a whole lot better looking than Mila.

Yeah she was. I wanted to see more of her. Im 27 fwiw and barely got the flash gordan stuff thanks (i guess lol) to my dad.

it looks dreadfully bad. Although I enjoy the work of everyone involved, so I will probably take a chance on it.

Exactly. The humor, like Family Guy, is something of an acquired taste. If seeing an elderly Flash Gordon in full costume from the 80's movie in slow motion is funny to you, you're going to love this movie. If not, it might not be great for you. I, personally, loved it. And a surprising amount of heart in the movie. Much better than I expected it to be.

Saw it last night and liked it. About what I expected.
Overall, I'm a fan of FAMILY GUY, THE CLEVELAND SHOW & AMERICAN DAD so I like MacFarlane's humor but I grow weary of his bashing of the South.
On TV he's bashed Florida, Texas and Louisiana and this movie bashes Georgia and Florida.
I like Boston but it's not the be-all and end all and we are not a bunch of inbred racists, Seth.

He makes lots of fun of the Northeast, too.

Horrible movie. Jokes were lame and predictable. It was just not a funny movie, IMO. Save your money.
