The Name That TV Show Game (New and Improved: All Trivia Welcome) (1 Viewer)

First time I seen some one reply to their own post. Is this a first?

How did you move all your stuff from the U.S. to Australia? Did you just ship it? Must cost a few bucks!

Hockey trivia:

What year did the U.S. upset the Russians to win Gold in the Olympics?
Do you believe in miracles?

lol. i'm so bored that i would stab a politician in the face for something to do.

i'm too slow to remember what i post, so i made adjustments.

also, i am sooooo bored. i've already finished a fifth of titos and i feel buzzed. not drunk, only buzzed.
I ate ALL the food today. My goal is to be on a reality show. I'm mulling over My 600 Pound Life.

While we are twiddling our thumbs until draft day next Thursday and hunkered down in our homes, I am watching a great movie tonight. I will share it with you.

Hey, Cisco. Hey, Pancho.

Can you do the Fandango?

Have you ever heard of a colored cracker? He may have been a dissatisfied dollar.

First Lady Whitmore was quite the animated protestor.

Sock it to me. Sock it to me.

Hey, Charley. Wait for me!

That's a lot of bears!

Back to watching the movie. Crap, I'm hearing thunder now.

Absolutely. Until you experience one, then it's hard to think they would ever happen in your life. I think this is God's department, He is the miracle worker.
Sorry, that "miracle" thing was me quoting Al Michaels.

Okay, I see a Queen lyric and a line from Laugh In. Other than that .............

Who wrote this poem?

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore—
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.”"

Eldorado is my favorite Poe poem

Gaily bedight,
A gallant knight,
In sunshine and in shadow,
Had journeyed long,
Singing a song,
In search of Eldorado.

But he grew old—
This knight so bold—
And o’er his heart a shadow—
Fell as he found
No spot of ground
That looked like Eldorado.

And, as his strength
Failed him at length,
He met a pilgrim shadow—
‘Shadow,’ said he,
‘Where can it be—
This land of Eldorado?’

‘Over the Mountains
Of the Moon,
Down the Valley of the Shadow,
Ride, boldly ride,’
The shade replied,—
‘If you seek for Eldorado!’

Nice. I took a poetry class in high school, it was probably my favorite class. Never had any homework, we got to listen to music during class, and get to write about whatever you want. Not sure how some one could fail, it would take some one with exceptional skills to pull it off.

I think I liked Sylvia Plath, but can't remember any reason why. Sounds like your into poetry. I used to write some in college, but now it's rare, almost never.

Plath's poem "Daddy" is one of the harshest things i ever read
yeah teens/20s i was hugely into poetry (mostly reading but a fair amount of writing)
