Looks like he took a hard hit on the drivers side door before he flipped. This could be bad :(

To finnish what I was saying until the crash, in mid race Johnson's heart rate was up to 123 in turns. When they get into the heat of the summer these guys lose around 10 lbs in what weight during a race.

When the 1st Talledega race was in July, temps inside the car exceeded 140 F. Thankfully, it;s been rescheduled to April and October now
 
They just said Newman has been transported straight to a local hospital. That is all they will say at this time.
 
Doesn't look like we will find out anything on Newman until the morning.
