He has taken an interest in Darrell Wallace Jr. (Bubba), who has made national news with his efforts to talk about racial injustice from a Nascar context - including running a #blacklivesmatter paint scheme in the last race, and in being vocal about Nascar needing to prohibit the Confederate flag at races (particularly those flown on flag poles in the track parking lots) which Nascar then did last Friday).

Bubba Wallace's mother ran track at Tennessee and Bubba is a big UT football fan. I don't know, but I would suspect they knew each other before the events of the last two weeks.

But Alvin has decided he wants to become a race fan. He's going to the race today as Bubba's guest.
