Brought to us by the US Postal Service: Post Office Launches Fashion Line

The idiots they must have making decisions. Operate daily in billions of dollars of debt yet spending on this kinda an idea for profit. Maybe I'm wrong but can't see who in the world would even be interested in wearing the stuff.

Gotta love the yahoo comments.

I can see the adds in magazines now:

"Want to go postal while looking the part? Try our new Postal Service line of clothing!"

"Creeps and criminals: Victims everywhere lower their guard when you're dressed like an authentic letter carrier!"

"Have a dog-bite fetish? Nothing riles them up like a mailman uniform!"

Seriously though I like those safari hats they wear.

Did you read the article in your link?

See, it is ok. They are going to make money doing this so we need not fret. :hihi:

Yeah like they want the general public to believe that ...

i dunno, i have seen enough hipsters in beer-delivery-guy shirts and mechanic's shirts.

So why not a mailman shirt to go with those birth-control glasses, ironic sideburns, and silly-looking hat

Since that might actually sell, though, they are instead opting to market what appears to be light outerwear wired for electronic devices....therefore competing with orgs such as REI and Columbia and UnderArmour who are probably already doing it better and cheaper

Good luck, as always, to the USPS. i still send written letters.

Why not just charge more for their services.?. I mean I honestly cannot see how anyone could say no to spending a dollar to mail a letter. BAM just doubled the revenue right there. I ship iPhones via USPS for next to nothing.. I mean 7 bucks to carry it to russia.. they could charge triple that and it would still be cheaper than Fedex or UPS.

they charge more about every two years for their service. Stamps are always going up but the more they do it the more people email and go to private parcel.

Mr. Knowitall • I can't wait to dress up and hit the bars in my USPS duds "Hey baby, is that a letter opener in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

Cobra • "Here comes the lovely Kim in the new Post Office Bikini. It's made from several large postage stamps carefully positioned so she doesn't get arrested. It also saves money as it will give her a bikini waxing every time she takes it off."

Star Carlton • So if I order a shirt - will it show up late, soaked from the rain, and crammed into my apartment mailbox?

LOL!!! The comments are awesome!

The Yahoo article comments section is why I've keep them my home page over the years. And I'm liking their new page format they just came out with.
