The offense that we saw in preseason looked bad when Dalton was not in. We rarely opened up anything, we settled for short yards and continuously ran the ball for short yards. Not to mention that the offensive line was bad.
I was expecting to see bigger plays from Dixson, Kirk Merrit & Olave. We ended up seeing very little from them.
During the 2nd game, we saw Ronald Curry calling plays and I thought that the playing was unbearable. Seeing as though it was first game calling plays I ignored the offense. We're now 3 weeks into the regular season and the offense hasn't progressed since then.
I have two questions: Is it the scheme? Also are the Saints prepping Ronald Curry to take over so that Pete can quietly leave when Payton returns?
