All of us are talking about how we need to move at least ahead of the Bengals if we want Ellis or Dorsey. But there's another DT the board loves who could also go the pick right before ours.

The 49ers pick 39th and really, really like Trevor Laws. They think he'd be a great defensive end in the 3-4. They like him so much they might even take him at 29, though I don't anticipate that.

So if we want Laws, it's probably going to take a jump to get him. Now, I'm not in favor of drafting Laws at 40, I'm not as high on him as others here and I think he's much better suited as a 3-4 DE than a 4-3 DT, especially since we need a NT and not a 1-gap. Still, just thought I'd pass on the information.

And no, I don't have a link. I have a few sports media contacts in S.F. through work who I trust very much.

I'm hoping that Balmer or Sims is there in the 2nd if we dont get Ellis/Dorsey.
Barring trades, Rivers in the first then Balmer or Sims in the 2nd sounds fine with me. No 1st day CB is the only issue.
