The Panthers, Not the Saints, Projected to Win the NFC South for 2023 (1 Viewer)

I gin up the same level of outrage when the top 5 in college football is just so, so wrong in week 3 of the season!!!!!!!

They could be a good team. I’m a believer in Bryce Young. They swept us last year and have had our number the past few seasons.

No. The writer of the article. There's no way the Panthers win this division. Their rosters good, but not as good as ours and they are starting a rookie QB.

This is ridiculous. I agree we are favorites on paper. Our roster was better than theirs last year and they beat us twice. Shocked is if TB or ATL win the division. This is a 2 horse race if Young develops quickly in Carolina. Saying theres no way Car wins the division is just, foolish. Should we win it? Yes. But Carolina is far from "no way".

I didn't say Carolina was winning the division. That's what Dallas Robertson of Pro Football Network wrote. I explained my take later in the story.

The singular biggest difference maker at Carolina is the hiring of Frank Reich. He will be the best coach for them since Rivera, and it ain't even close. With the Colts he never had a QB, and that limited his excellent offensive mind. With Carolina he now has a top notch QB to hone and an established defense. He will do much better with Carolina than he did with the Colts.

I still think the Saints will win the division primarily because rookie QBs usually take some time to develop. Panthers will struggle early in the year due to QB and new coach. But late in the year I see that team coming together and push the Saints for best team in the NFC South.

I'm more worried about 2024.

I could quote Denny Green here and talk about crowning their rear end . . . but I willing to bet we will be much better against the run and rushing the QB. That will translate to more pressure on opposing QBs and hopefully forcing rookie QBs into mistakes. We shall see.
I would agree if the Saints had a head coach. We are only as good as the head coach. He will have to be a lot better at coaching than he has in the past.

Adam Levitan on the Establish the Run pod with Evan Silva today said he thought the Falcons would win the division.

If we use the talent on offense properly and don't keep the most productive players on the sideline in key moments, we can win the division. If we are not as conservative on offensive play calls, we have a chance. This teams talent should win the division if the coaches let them
I am not really hopeful. The coaches need to prove it before I believe.
