The Playmaker Michael Irvin Pulled from All Super Bowl Coverage/NFL Network (09/14 EDIT: Irvin settles his defamation suit w/hotel, returns to NFLN) (1 Viewer)

You are correct, i am putting the onus on men. It's not the same when women do it. Sorry, life isn't fair.
Sorry, life isn't fair? Lol what kind of argument is that? You could say that about anything. Girls getting beat in sports by boys who identify as female, "Sorry, life isn't fair". Laws banning boys who identify as female from competing against natural born females, "Sorry, life isn't fair". The former would elicit little outrage but the latter would have people up in arms.

It's true, life isn't fair but it isn't fair to anyone. You can say, "Sorry, life isn't fair" but if someone said the same thing about women dealing with advances from men following their most basic biological imperative, it would be inappropriate and offensive.

I've already stated my opinion quite thoroughly. I'm not one of those people who think anyone else has to agree with me.

Guys just need to realize that they are running the risk of offending women, and if the woman gets offended, it's not her fault.

Are men really saying it's the woman's fault? I think most dudes understand if they try to hit on a lady and she shuts it down it's not her fault. Just looking at this video it didn't seem like Irvin made a big scene like it was the woman's fault. The hotel made some serious claims that the video pretty clearly disproves. I think that's what he took issue with.

And yes, you have stated your opinion and I understand you don't care if anyone agrees with you. That's cool and the gang my dude. I'm just trying to see where you are coming from. I appreciate your perspective.

Irvin should sue the hotel and the woman if they lied. He shouldn't have any problem proving damages. I suspect he might, if she made everything up.

You or neither of us know if Irvin actually said that. That’s the reason he brought a $100 million lawsuit and demanding full video evidence. Video shows them simply having an engaging conversation with one another, without audio, with no inappropriate sexual body language or no pullback reactions to something inappropriate. This is the problem with prejudiced people who need to do better than assuming accusations are automatically true without evidence.
My neighbor had a dog that used to chase me down the street when I was on my bike. But me 2 times. If someone came along later and said that dog bit me I would tend to believe it.

What if there was video evidence of the dog merely brushing against his leg and the guy smiles and nicely shoos the dog and walks away?

Someone who saw you get chased and bit by that dog might think, if I say I was chased and bit too he'd probably believe me

Then I was wrong. My point was based on people’s initial reaction of the story.

I don't think men should be trying to hook up with women they don't know in normal situations.

Sure, maybe 1 out of 10 are down for it, but the other 9 women shouldn't have to put up with being hit on by random strangers, when they aren't in a situation that suggests they are out looking to be hit on. Especially if they are at work and required to be nice to customers.

Out at the club, fine. Almost anywhere else, you shouldn't be hitting on women at all.
My wife tells me about situations where guys are hitting on her. Ring or not, they don’t care. Was this sexual harassment, no. Was it an unwanted interaction, yes.

Go use an app if you are looking for a woman. Because a woman is by the self, doesn’t mean they are looking to hook up.

This thread is trash, I know that commenting on it keeps it alive but, testosterone levels are plummeting reading this junk. Football please!

Even when they lie?

Ok dude, after these many examples, you're definitely leaving out some objective facts. Either you're far above your claimed "average" looks wise, or wearing items that scream "rich guy", or packing other very obvious endowment. I get the whole pheromone thing but something is off with your story.
Ok. I'm a former Marine, so I guess there's a somewhat confident demeanor about me, though I try not to seem cocky. I am 6'4", and weigh about 250. I do think that I'm average, but I try not to think I'm anything close to thinking I'm all that. I'm not rich, but for most of my adult life, I have always worn a shirt and tie or pressed clothing (military bearing). I don't wear tight clothing, but I also don't like a loose fit (hate sagging feel). I don't do flashy.
