I think we can confidently say that the WR position was properly this offseason with the addition of Landry. Even if an injury had to occur, the group would be far better than last season. Enjoy!!

No argument from me on any of that...but some of the separation issues can also be tracked back to called route combinations...I saw some pretty unimaginative crap run last year.

I was happy with Olave but adding Landry is just the cherry on top.
Agreed...I wanted 2 in the draft because I was all about pushing Callaway and Harris down to at most WR4...that's where 2nd/3rd Year UDFAs need to be. This is just as good. And heaven forbid the injury bug strikes again, we're in OBJ's heart...he'll be avaiable come Nov/Dec if we need him.

Louie breaking down Xs and Os

Actually Landry is as or more important than Olave

To beat Winston you have to blitz him nonstop. This is exactly what Carolina did

yes the Oline was injured and the coaching staff was missing but the gameplan to beat winston was shown

Our receivers couldnt separate at the LOS and Payton kept on calling deep and long developing routes. SP kept the same scheme he used in Greenbay which produced 5 TDs. Carolina DC knew he couldnt sit back but had to attack and take down Winston before the offense developed

AK was our short distance reciever but as a RB lined up behind Winston. Blitzing and rushing downfield he took down both Winston and AK behind the LOS

capable Defenses were going to do these nonstop jailbreak tactics this coming year to stop our deep routes with Olave, Harty

This is why Landry as the slot receiver is soo important. Winston can get the ball out of his hands quicky to Landry and force the defenses from stacking the LOS and blitzing

Winston and the offense should look wide open with the defenders spread out with both safteys playing mostly 2 deep

*Yes our RBs should be 5x better and explosive with 1 less defender cheating in the box

Having Landry is huge!!!!
