I have ridiculously high hopes for this one. Judging by that trailer, I don't think I'm going to be let down.

The only way this is a let down is if the whole conspiracy behind his family's murder is too convoluted. But that's just guessing. Everything looks like it's going to be great.

I watched half of ep 1 before running some errands this morning. This is going to be a bloody show, so far his weapon of choice is a hammer.

In DareDevil, his prison scene with the shank.. omg...

There's a point where it's almost too much. Guess we'll see.

So much geekdom this weekend. I'm so giddy... [emoji16]

only 2 in butt he thing i'm loving so far is how it plays off of the 70s helpful loner motifs
i was a huge fan of Kung-fu and the Incredible Hulk even Run, Joe Run (look it up) * where the misunderstood/falsely accused but haunted 'good guy' is hounded by "The Man"

in those shows the haunting was just a flavor that writers would use at opportune character moments - The Punisher is a deep dive into the mechanics of the haunting
and beautifully done

* yes The Fugitive is the prototype, but i only saw those much later

I'm 1 and a half episodes in. Fantastic so far. It's grisly, but, it's the Punisher. This should be a solid series for Netflix. I'm eagerly awaiting the other new seasons for Marvel shows. Good stuff in the pipeline I hope!

I just finished episode 8 and I'm loving it. I had a similar thought after the first episode, though. You could've taken that first episode, retitled it "The Equalizer," and had an unending series of awesome, isolated stories. I'm not complaining that we're dealing with Frank Castle and his story, of course. But that episode was so reminiscent of those old "man on the run" shows.

Just one episode in so far and I really like it. Debating whether to binge it, which would take me just about up to game time, or get some sleep tonight and take my time with the Punisher. It seems every time I binge one of these, I end up regretting it, mostly because I then realize it will be at least a year before I get to see any new episodes. I think I want to savor these 13 shows through the Thanksgiving weekend anyway. No more than two per day.

Damn, I still haven't watched an episode yet. Hell, I haven't finished season 4 of Voltron either. I'm so behind.
