I always find these "hacks" never work as simply as the videos indicate they will. I've tried the jar and garlic thing before and ended up still having to peel it by hand.

I actually like peeling shrimp - I like the way they feel in my hands. I used to beg my mom to let me peel the shrimp when I was a kid - she was like “fine go right ahead!”

Nah, I get it. Things like shrimp or crawfish or crab are kind of ritualistic for me. The peeling/cracking is part of the experience.
