i hate youwhile we are on the topic, allow me to share my favorite Parisian poem... by one of my favorite poets. A perpetually drunk mad genius who didn't just write poetry. A collection of his short fiction, for example, that stands out is Erections, Ejaculations, Exhibitions, and General Tales of Ordinary Madness.
anyway, he had a lot to say about America (esp the west coast). But also Paris.
Paris
by Charles Bukowski
never
even in calmer times
have I ever
dreamed of
bicycling through that
city
wearing a
beret
and
Camus
always
P'Oed
me
off.
