Big difference is we lost to a horrible team. Tampa almost came back against a good Green Bay team. I think this week is as close to first place that the Saints will get for rest of the year.

When I saw the thread title, I was a bit concerned. Glad to see you wern't serious.

This is the ticket whether your team is playing well or looking bad -- make it all about the numbers.
Squelch any anger or frustration and take it week by week .
Can the Saints still win the division, or make the playoffs period?
This always gives you something to hope for each week until the Saints are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, and helps keep the household furniture and knickknacks in one piece.
Then you add in the principle of hope, as in
-- we can turn it around as the season progresses when we get healthy and everyone learns the system
-- the playoffs are a new season
and the old standbys ...
-- anything can happen
-- it ain't over til it's over

So you diminish the personal angst you have towards whomever you are blaming for the team's struggles and keep it in the fun zone.

If I thought that crying after this loss would make us a better team, I'd be shedding real tears. The only thing left to do is laugh at this hopeless season.
It's like a blast from the past. Back in the 70s we were practically eliminated by Week 4. This is almost making me feel like a kid again.
