The saints can lose.. (1 Viewer)

A 9-7 Saints team is certainly not guaranteed the playoffs.

Rams 7-4
Bucs 7-5
Cardinals 6-5
Vikings 5-6 (and would have beaten the Saints in this scenario)
Bears 5-6

We’ve already had literally a sold out superdome & still couldn’t do it... my mentality since those recent losses . Let’s go anywhere I like being the under dogs , we play better when they said we will lose ( case in point -bucs game ).

Agree

they've often played better as percieved underdogs., and lay an awfull egg when are percieved sure win.. case in point, first Atl game last year, as well as the vikings playoff game. players and coaches seem to go thru the motions, instead of doing their bests.
just like the defense was lights out last year ,during brees' injury, but as soon as he came back.. defense lets up. as if Drew has it, we don't have to work as hard.

Agree.

They want a 1st round bye and home field advantage. NO way they rest guys. This team has a superbowl mentality and the 1 seed makes that path much easier.

What good is resting players if they come out flat and lose there first game in the playoffs. Also injuries can happen anytime if you sit players and if they start dropping during the game in the playoffs none of it matters. Lastly the defense and team are playing to well to stop them now sometimes its not the best team who wins it all its the hottest team who go on runs and win it all.

1607041005330.pngThere you go, a scenario where the Saints lose out and don't make the playoffs. They haven't clinched yet.
In that scenario it would be the MIN head to head that would kick us out....but that ain't happenin bruh!! Namsayin?

Yeah if we dont get the 1 seed the rest of the seeding doesnt really matter
Seeding does matter if we want at least one home game if we are not the #1 seed. If we are the #2 seed we would get two games at home and then have to travel to the #1 seed, assuming they have not lost.

They can lose the rest and COULD still make the playoffs, but would need help, its no guarantee at this point. It seems as though the OP is suggesting that the playoffs are guaranteed even if we lose the rest.
