The "Saints" gemstone... AWESOME!! (1 Viewer)

Guys, my dad is a Gemologist and he owns a jewelry store here in Baton Rouge. Anyway he has multiple dealers whom he buys gemstones from and one came in a month or so ago and he had the coolest gemstones EVER. He has been a certified gemologist for over 30 years and he said he had never seen these before.. he has some ametrine which is half citrine and half amethyst (we call it the LSU stone), but nothing like this.

When I saw these I nearly fell out of my chair.... talk about the Saints gemstone.. and it's created naturally! It's one half Citrine and one half Smoky Quartz. The gold set my dad made for my mom for Christmas and the silver set my wife made for herself....

He bought all that the guy had at the time and is going to be getting some more... I just got some pictures and had to pass this along. Even God is a Saints fan!

It's hard to get a really good picture of them without the lighting throwing off the color, but they are a deep gold color and a deep black color..... gorgeous

I always tell my husband not to buy me jewelry, 'cause it's just not my thing (I'd rather a new Saints or Astros shirt any day), but I may have to change my tune....hmmmm, I have a birthday coming up later this month....

I was picking up pizza at Papa Johns on Hwy. 6 on Saturday, and the clerk saw my Saints jacket and immediately showed me the gorgeous fleur-dis-lis pendant she was wearing. I gotta say, I also coveted that piece of jewelry....but those "Saints gemstones" are gorgeous!

Imagine those gems being cut into fleur dis lis. I know it would be crazy to mess them up that way, but I can really see them as fleur dis lis in a gold framing. Those are awesome.

With those stone and ametrine (see picture below) the 2 best cuts are the emeral cut and an oval cut, but yeah that would be awesome.

My dad does have some gold fleur de lis with a single black diamond set in the middle of them.. they look really cool.

Yeah it's very cool.. and it's a fairly inexpensive stone as is the Saints one.

He actually just set these stones so I don't have any pics up on the website.. you guys got to see them first as I just got them.

I made and maintain the sites so when I get some pricing info for both gold and silver settings I'll pass along the info and post it up on the sites. I need to get them to take a picture of all the fleur de lis jewelry as they have white and yellow gold pendants, earrings, and rings all with diamonds and some silver with czs... fleur de lis jewelry has been selling really good this year.. gee I wonder why
