For those that attended the game..what was the experience like? I can only imagine the energy in that building. I could never imagine not having a home game for a whole season..but to be able to be back at the first game must have been magical. I imagine it was:
A) PACKED
and
B) Filled with Saints fans and no one else.
Did anyone take photos at the game?

I remember a bunch of people I worked with saying the Saints would lose..I was the only one that put money on the Saints. Even if we didn't know how well they would play this year..I KNEW they would win that game..the emotion was too high!

It was A packed. I had 2 Falclown fans next to me. They were prety good throughout the game and we picked a little back and forth for harmless fun but it didnt take long for them to stop cheering. That game was the best I have ever witnessed in the dome. I havent been to more than 6 games but it was awesome. I will never forget that day.

Loudest and most emotional football game I've ever experienced. When Gleason blocked the punt people who didn't even know each other were hugging and crying together.

the best sporting event that i have ever been to!!!!!!!! as the sound of the blocked punt resonated through the stadium, 70,000 people collectivly blew a gasket.

I've been to many, many games in the dome. That was the loudest game I'd ever been to in my life. It's hard to describe the feeling of being there, it meant much more than a football game. I'll remember it the rest of my life. And, yea, when the punt was blocked, I though the roof was gonna come off!

Put it this way, I couldn't speak clearly for 3 days, my ears were ringing for 4 days, and I could barely walk the next day since I was so sore from jumping around.

Increadibly emotional..... When they showed Joe getting the team fired up in the tunnel, I just flashed back to Tiger Stadium last year.. I remember staying till the bitter end... NO ONE left... walking out and looking back.. After all that had happened I was 100% sure that was the last time I would ever see MY Saints....

Then that moment... Joe was being Joe.. the crowd was roaring... the lady in front of me turned around with tears running down her face... Well i just lost it..........

The game was great the crowd was awesome.. But that moment... wow gotta stop now...lol

It was a "you gotta be there" type game when thinking about it before it happened. That is honestly why I bought season tickets when the schedule was announced; just to be sure I could return to New Orleans with my son for that one game.

And now it is a "you had to be there" experience when trying to describe it to someone. I have always, and still do, get exctied whenever I watch the SAINTS, but this was way different, it was very emotional. And being there with my son doubled the meaningfulness of it. We both agree It was one of the best Father/Son gigs we have ever done together.

We hope to soon find out if being at the SB when the SAINTS go marching in, is going to be any better. I got that same kind of "you gotta be there" feeling building up for the game in Miami, and I have already made flight, hotel, and rental car arrangemnts, just need our team to get there, and have some folks I know come through for some tickets for us!

I lost my voice for over a week after that game. It was one of those things that you will look back when all is said and done and remember that you were at something special. You might not be able to pinpoint just how emotional and great it was, but you will always remember that you were there.

What everyone else said. I couldn't talk for a week after the game. It took two to three days to fully physically recover from the emotion, excitement, and hangover :hihi:

We were sitting in row 1 of our section, on the rail, and when we blocked the punt, I just about jumped over the railing. I couldn't even hear myself scream at that point, it was so loud in there.

Loudest and most emotional sporting event I've ever been to. The scene before the game was awesome as well. Basically the entire 70,000 people were outside waiting for the clock to hit zero. The electricity was palpable. It was the best sporting event I've ever been to, including all the Texas games, and the Big XII championship last year.

I still get goosebumps thinking about that blocked punt. It was so loud that I couldn't hear myself scream. I think the crowd leaving the Dome was the best, 70,000, people after all the crap we been through, felt like winners that night.
