The talking heads are jumping on the eagles (1 Viewer)

James Jones [who?] on NFLN Total Access picks the Eagles. Not news. He picked against us a LOT through the season. Shaun O'Hara picks us.

They can pick their nose as far as I care. With a healthy O-Line, in the dome, and emerging defense, no one can beat the Saints.

I think we play better with a chip on our shoulder anyway. (Disclaimer: I am actual not playing)

I feel more comfortable when everybody picks against us. I wince every time somebody predicts a Saints victory. Heck, I hope even the players' mothers are picking the Eagles.

hmm, according to nflpickwatch 97pct of so called experts pick the Saints. Granted not all of the picks are in yet.

It gives them something to talk about when there is really not much else to say. Makes for a good story line... Wildcard team sneaks in the playoffs (with help from others) who just so happen to be the defending super bowl champs. Since their week 9 bye, the Eagles have gone 6 and 3 (includes playoff win against Bears). One of those games was against the Saints and we know what happened there. Also, with the exception of their last regular season game against the Redskins, all games were very tight. I'm not going into this with overconfidence but just feel there is no way they will be able to keep up with a well rested Saints team in the dome... especially if the OL comes to play!

Ding ding ding. Those producers have to fill that air time some how!

JJ just a scrub who was hired because he played with Rodgers and they probably thought they could go to him for insight responses.

It's not shocking. These idiots care about storylines. And apparently Nick Foles' playoff acumen is a better story than Drew Brees cementing his legacy as an all time great.

He said talking heads, not a bunch of people (except Wingo) that you never even see on TV anymore.

Lots of the loudest, former player “analysts” on the bigger shows are picking Eagles. Burleson, Sharpe, Jones, Drew, etc.

Thanks.
I remember last year where some analysts would pick one team during the week, but end of week when they had their official picks, they went the other way.

Also, for all of these talking-head shows, someone has to play the antagonist.

Where did you get the notion that the O-line is healthy? Maybe your definition of healthy and mine are drastically different. I see an O-line that is bandaged up and trying to limp through the playoffs as best as they can. Please divulge any and all information that changes my mind!

I've heard numerous pundits say "I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles won", but most of the time they follow up with "but I'm not picking them to win", most recently, Charlie Weiss on the Opening Drive this morning. I did get to work before Ross Tucker revealed who he thought had the best chance as a road team to win. I'm sure it was between the Eagles and Chargers though and I'm leaning Chargers. If anyone heard that segment, fill me in.

Do you have a list of people picking the Eagles?

Any names?

I was thinking the same thing. I have seen nearly everyone picking the Saints. Yes, they are talking about the Eagles but not actually picking them. It’s hard for them to talk much about the Saints when our starting QB hasn’t played in almost a month.
