The Torching of Isaac Yiadom (3 Viewers)

My only complaints with him is the same for Alontae. If they could manage to turn their heads and spot the ball coming in, they could have easily had 2 or 3 interceptions. They both waited on the receiver to make a catch and then hope that their hand placement was in the right spot to knock the ball away. Taylor got lucky that his leg dislodged a TD earlier in the game

To me, the bigger question was why we weren't relentlessly attacking the Packers' backup CB the same way.

The most depressing thing I saw during that game was the maturation of Jordan Love. That dude was dropping dimes all over the field in the 4th quarter. It was a Brees or Brady like performance in the 4th quarter. I'm hoping he just temporarily caught fire because if that is the player he is turning into then the rest of the NFC will have problems with Green Bay for a really long time. When a QB is placing the ball like that on chunk yardage, there is very little a defense can do to stop it.

Weird thread. Not even concerned a little bit. Defense was on the field the entire 2nd half, not sure what you expect.

He played OK for the most part. A rookie starting his 1st game replacing a starter can expect to be targeted, especially in crunch time.

The 45 yard pass interference penalty wasn't blatant but it ignited the comeback for GB.

What was most disappointing in his play was he dropped an easy interception that would have not only thwarted the 8 points they scored after the drop but a pick there most likely secures the win for the Saints.
Lattimore and Adebo weren't perfect early either

He did okay for a backup IMO. There was no pass rush in the 4th quarter because they DL was probably gassed at that point.

Pass rush was not as effective today.
Agree and very surprising. Packers were missing their left side of the OL and looked much better protecting than our starters. Our DL did not do a good job of exploiting that perceived weakness.

They need to teach these young corners to turn and look for the ball.
THIS IS THE POST OF THE NEW ERA OF DEFENSIVE BACK FOOTBALL!!! I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE FACT THAT THESE CBs DO NOT TURN THEIR HEAD AND LOCATE THE BALL THROWN RIGHT AT THEM IT IS TOTALLY MIND-BOGGLING TO ME!!

Isaac was targeted and won most of his reps. Yes, the ones he lost mattered, but to say he was torched is a reach. I could say Cam and the line got handled and left the backend exposed but that would be a reach as well.

Either that or they did a good job of studying our strength. I didn't get a chance to focus heavily but we've been a team that likes to run games up front for a while. It could be that we decided to stick w/ our DNA and they studied/practiced heavily to nullify.

Dude is like our 4th corner and yall expected him to be Latt? He did what 4-5th string corners do. Make some plays, but give up some too.
