DeMarcus Cousins went off last night and was unstoppable without AD. My question is do we need more time and creativity for those two to be a force together or is the experiment failing?

I don't think the experiment is failing because of the two of them. We have an insane amount of injuries right now and (other than last night) have been getting next to nothing out of Jrue Holliday.

With the way Cousins & AD are playing, once we get Rondo back (meaning Jrue never has to play point guard ever again) and if we can get a little consistency from Holliday, I think we can win 40 games and challenge for the playoffs. It's going to take some things breaking out way though because it's definitely an imperfectly assembled roster.

Need a better F/O and a better coach to put a decent group of role players around AD/DC.
Right now, they are impossible to watch; almost no effort, incredibly sloppy, and can't shoot outside of AD/DC.

First and foremost, Alvin Gentry needs to be shown the door. Until that happens, Gentry is a career .458 winner, and that's exactly what youll get.

I'm not a huge basketball fan but I'll watch the pels because they're from New Orleans. Somebody needs to explain to me how Gentry still has a job. I'm sure I'll get flamed over this but I thought Monty did a better job with less talent.

I know the free agent market wasn't that great this year, but I was hoping we could have landed Nick young. I don't know what it will take, but it will be nice to get Lillard down here.

Exactly my observations, except that I would say the effort is good at times but too inconsistent. Of course, when you're fundamentally unsound defensively and your only outside threats are your 7 foot Center and a guard that sees little playing time, with Cunningham and Moore constantly raining bricks off of open looks, and your turning it over 20+ times per game, I'd suspect its easier for effort to subside during a game.

I wasn't a huge Monty Williams fan, but I don't think that he deserved to be fired, especially after putting a winning team together. I remember he use to work with AD personally everyday and he had a monster year when we made the playoffs.
AD hasn't been the same since.

He did. Gentry has shown nothing. However, I would like to see this team with perimeter players that can actually play and shoot from the perimeter like real NBA perimeter players.

Gentry is the worst possible coach for the lineup we have. We have 2 of the best, if not THE best, big men in the league and fail to use them correctly. What is the point of having 2 big guys if they just float around the 3 point line mostly? It would be like having a team with great guards and all the do is post up inside. Granted, they shoot well, especially Cousins, but they could be much better utilized inside. Cousins took 12 3's last night.......12!

It's the football equivalent of bringing in Mike Fox as an OC with Peyton Manning in his prime.

I think it's a packaged deal. When Gentry goes, so goes Demps.
