Colston has missed 10 out of 85 possible games...injury prone??

he has 4 1000+ yard seasons and 40 career TDs playing with a QB that spreads the ball around to everyone

i don't see him going anywhere

For a wr Colston gets banged up a lot. Stat me, I don't care, he just is..I will say though, that he does appear to play through a lot of injuries, but this really reduces his effectiveness. Stats don't pick this stuff up.

And yeah, he has clutch fumbles.

I'll endure the wrath of the Colston love just as I endured the wrath for disliking Charles Grant(when he was loved but underachieving) and seeing what he was before many did.

I'm telling you unless he keeps his asking price EXTREMELY low, the Saints will not be re-signing Colston.

I'm really looking forward to the very real possibility that Graham will break Winslow's (30 year old?) TE receiving record. :)

There is nothing about Colston's personality would make anyone believe he would be wanting the big contract.

When a guy's primary job is to continually catch balls over the middle and take as many hits as he does then, I'd expect a few injuries and the occasional fumble.

Stat nothing, the guy brings it every time he steps on the field.

Okay, now you're just punking us. When Sunday rolls around, I suggest turning the TV on and watching at least part of a football game. Just to try it out. See if you like it.

Charles Grant was a first round pick who had 2 10+ sack seasons

Colston was a late 7th round pick who has had 4 OUT OF 5 1000 YARD SEASONS

You're comparing apples to pianos. If Colston lost a leg today, he'd have been a bargain where we got him and yes, expect to catch wrath, heck and hell for going after Colston. I'm scared to come on here when Drew's injury-prone *** throws for a paltry 4000 yard season.

And if we compare this to the best receiver out there now, Calvin Johnson, we see he's had ONE full season out of 4 (ZOMG INJURY PRONE) and has gone over 1000 yards just half the time in his illustrious career.

I liked Grant during the early part of his career. But I started strongly disliking him when he started to fade(and gain weight and take plays off)--and I was watching him. I was vocal about it(and caught a lot of heat around here) and our front office ended up addressing that by cutting him. Then, of course, when we cut him and he found himself not even good enough to start in a scrub league our fans started criticizing him.

Now back to Colston.

The fact that so many people are getting their panties in a wad over this tells me deep down, people might feel, even though they might disagree, that there is a little truth to what I'm writing.

First of all, unlike Grant, Colston is a great guy. The thing is though, it's just time to move on. He always seems to be injured now(plays through it, lumbers around and doesn't do much),and fumbles quite a bit. Yeah he's big and takes shots, guess what, so is Graham and quite a few other guys--and their ball security issues are better.

I love the Saints more than any individual player on it so I want us to get better all the time. So that's why I'm critical of Colston. It's not what he's done, it's what he will do in the future.

I also happen to feel Drew Brees is a much better qb than many around here give him credit for. There are many diamonds out there waiting to be discovered that Drew will bring shine to. Drew has always made Colston look better than he is because he is one of the best qb's to ever play in the NFL. We have our big target now in Graham...it's time to find another wr with a little more wiggle.

As far as which wr? I'll leave that up to the coaches. Hopefully this explains why I feel the way I do about Colston,(you don't have to agree with it, just understand it) and not that I'm trying to "punk" anyone.
