son of a *****. i had tickets for this game but no, i had to be in college station for my nephews birthday.

great game. happier to be home in time to watch the 2nd half instead of just listening to it. and **** you widge. WAR EAGLE. *****.

My eyes are starting to bleed with twits calling Kreutz a traitor and a coward.

Quitter? Sure, regardless of his reasons, he quit. I can understand some bawling about that, but some of our fan base needs to get a grip on reality.

some would say your notion seperates a man from a warrior.

besides who and the **** would quit on a team with such a passion who!?

Hell man, he's been getting beaten up by defensive linemen and linebackers for what, 13 years? Add that too all of the attention that concussions are getting and I can see why he could lose some of that drive.

I see how we as fans, rabid fans in some cases, can be angry and want to throw rabid wombats at the guy. I get that. I think he has proven he is indeed a warrior, just one who has realized his time has passed.

i haven't been paying that much attention to this whole situation (meaning i tend to avoid the ssf).. but apparently someone on the westwood one radio broadcast said he quit because he learned that he was gonna get benched for this game regardless. so for whatever that's worth...

i couldn't care less because we looked just fine without him

perhaps, but he had all off season. yes its been a hard 13 for him but if a road to glory has been presented to you will you forsake it? most know a warriors path. i questioned his when he quit.

and i have become beyond rabid, more like blood lust.

I think what happened to him is that he probably slacked off during the lockout and when the Bears cut him, he got ****** and it made him want to keep playing just to prove them wrong. That need to prove them wrong carried him through the Chicago game, but once that was over he probably started to realize he just didn't have a passion for the game anymore.

And, yeah, it would have been nice for him to stick around as a backup to teach De La Puente and/or Tennant, but he's really only been with the Saints for about 3 month so I doubt he feels any really close connection to this team or this city. And, to some extent, I respect the fact that he would rather retire than collect a paycheck for sitting around.
