N/S The worst NFL coaching decision was so bad, a turnover would've been better (1 Viewer)

I don’t know but I could probably pick a couple decisions by Bill O’Brien in this year’s playoffs against the Titans that would rank up there as the worst ever. Plus they are magnified since it was a playoff game. And trading DeAndre Hopkins is another one ??

How about the call sequence near the end of SB 51? Failcons had the ball at the Patriots 22, 1st and 10, with 4:40 left on the clock, up 28-20. First down: toss to RB for -1 yard. Second down: Ryan sacked in shotgun formation for loss of 12. Third down: offensive holding. Third down again: incomplete pass. Punt.

Final result: 28-3 for eternity.

I know that was more on Shanahan calling he plays, but who cares?

While trading Hopkins is a truly stupid decision, it’s a GM decision not a coaching decision...although the same guy has both jobs, he did it with his GM hat on so it doesn’t qualify.

It was mainly a joke due the ? but since they are the same guy, the coach still decided to trade him. If we traded Thomas for the same deal, I would say it was dumb decision by coach over Loomis. But I get what your saying
