Gojira

They are a little heavier than my normal fare, but something about their sound really appeals to me.

Has anyone ever experienced a band or sound that you can't quite put your finger on what it is you like about them, but you like them anyway?

I'm a fan of Thrash Metal more than anything else. I like some Hardcore and Punk, too. Now, I like the band Acid Bath, and Dax Riggs was the singer for them. If you listen to Dax's band Deadboy & the Elephantmen's music, it's nothing like Acid Bath's. You wouldn't even know it was the same vocalist if you compared the two. So, to answer your original question "Has anyone ever experienced a band or sound that you can't quite put your finger on what it is you like about them, but you like them anyway", I'm going to go with the band Deadboy & the Elephantmen. There's something I love about the album.

When they toured with Lamb of God and Metallica there was a lot of people who said Gojira stole the show. They are very good live

I saw them for the first time opening for Mastodon a few years ago and I felt they stole the show, and that was my first exposure to them. They are headlining a show here in October and I am really looking forward to it now that I am a lot more familiar with their music.

No one steals the show from Lamb of God...No one

I agree, last time I saw them was when they did Gigantour with Megadeth. IMO they outperformed Megadave. They were touring Sacrament but most the set was Ashes, Palaces and Gospel.

Saw Lamb of God last year opening for Slipknot. They were definitely the highlight of the show.

I saw Slipknot in '97 at Ozzfest and in '00 they headlined Tattoo The Earth, a similar festival. That was right after Iowa came out. That show was really good, I gotta say. I don't really care for their stuff after the first couple albums, but that show...The two extra drummers had their kits on hydraulic lifts and we're going nuts during the set.
