Things That Make You Feel Old (2 Viewers)

I was at work and we were discussing where we were during September 11, 2001. The answers were “I was in third grade”, “I was in eighth grade”, “I was in kindergarten”, “I was two”.

I was on vacation in Nags Head with my wife………
I was walking my transfer papers around the USS Stephen W. Groves in preparation to leave my last ship before retiring on shore duty. I was actually in the Chief's Mess when it happened and I watched it unfold on their tv.

Had just moved back to NO (like 2 months). Teaching at Tulane and going to grad school at UNO - was just finishing up some work getting ready to go to class when I heard it on npr
Didn’t make it to class that day

My husband was sleeping, working nights, I never had the tv on that morning. I stopped to check on my folks on the way to work and my Dad said "some idiot just ran into one of the twin towers." We were discussing the possibility of it not being an accident when the 2nd one hit. I went back home and wanted to wake my husband but decided he would lose enough sleep later. I left him a note to turn the tv on, I was definitely late for work.

I was at work at DOL, folks were gathered around TV's in conference rooms shortly after the first plane hit....then when the Pentagon plane hit, the vibrations and shaking were unreal, I'll never forget it.....my friend drove us all home after we evacuated around noon.....ugh....

Read that those concerts aren’t about what you see on stage, it’s about what you remember

You go see the Stones in 2023 but once they start playing it’s 1972 and you’re 20 years old again (and so are they)
I saw them on the Tattoo You tour in December 1981. It was 3 days after we’d seen Black Sabbath. Those were some good days, 42 years ago :covri:

My thumb....today my thumb makes me feel old because it hurts like crazy. Not sure if it's decades of playing guitar or if it's decades of text messages but definitely feels old.
