I keep seeing Cincy taking a defensive player in every mock. Carson Palmers' best year was when he a stable running game. Who would be shocked if the Bengals took a RB at 9 and went D the second round?

I think a Mendenhall selection wouldn't be surprising. I don't know enough about Stewart or his surgery to comment on him being worth the 9th pick.

Cinci needs defense as bad as we do. But, Mendenhall would be a perfect fit for that team.

But, they really need defense.

While I hope your prediction comes true, I can't help but think that the Cincy FO knows what we all do; namely, that DT talent like Dorsey's or Ellis' doesn't come around every day and if you have the chance to nab a guy like either of those two, you do it.

Kenny Watson + Rudi Johnson + Chris Perry = No running back in drafto.

You forgot Kenny Irons, who they drafted with their 2nd round pick in 2007. He spent his entire rookie season on IR. But he looks like a guy with a ton of potential.

The RB would be great for them, but this year's draft is deep at RB. They have tried to trade for every DT available. I sincerely hope that they do wind up with Dewayne Robertson and go in a different direction on draft day.

Watson is their best back.

RJ has had a couple of pretty bad years and may not have much left.

Chris Perry is fragile, most likely he will get cut.

Kenny Irons tore an ACL, not sure how effective he will be.
