Cam Jordan is a horrible football player this year. He's our highest paid player on defense and possibly our worst player out there.

If he plays well, our defense plays much better. But he sucks, unfortunately, so our defense absolutely sucks.

Darren Waller entered the week after a dominant Monday night performance and was second in the NFL in targets and receptions. New England wiped him out. As is Bill Belichick's MO, New England forced the Raiders to go elsewhere. Waller had just one target and zero catches through three quarters. He finished with two catches for nine yards on four targets. The Pats used a variety of bodies to keep the TE quiet, from double coverage with a safety over the top, to deploying DPOY Stephon Gilmore, to 6-foot-3 DB Joejuan Williams. With Waller blanketed, Derek Carr held the ball far too long and was forced to either check down or eat it.

Did Drew miss a few opportunities tonight? Sure. Did Drew check down a lot? Yup. Is he the reason we lost? No!

The Saints have gotten slaughtered by penalties game after game after game. The biggest culprits have been in the secondary with constant PI fouls and the disturbing part is that they've really been legit calls.

Marshon Lattimore has largely been a no show. Cam Jordan hasn't showed up. Alex Anzalone is overrunning everything. D-line isn't getting pressure. The opposing team's TE is killing us week after week, the only player I can say who is even competent right now is DeMario Davis.

Dennis Allen Aaron Glenn and the rest of the defensive staff have got to step up and say something or make a move on the defense. You give up 34 and 37 in back to back weeks. Who expects to win a football game like this?

All three safeties are liabilities. That’s PJ, Jenkins, and Williams. Constant missed assignments, blown coverages, and penalties from this group.

Cam Jordan has been the most consistent player on the defense for over a decade with this team.

Never missed a single game. All pro players get double teamed.

This is why DA gotta go, he will most likely have some decent game plans the rest of the season. But come playoff time, God willing we make it there, his play calling will be amateur. Not high school level ball, but maybe junior college level.

I was thinking that today watching the Pats/Raiders game. It was just piss poor game planning, and we were just constantly out of position. Our D lines disappearing act is just making it all the worse, but I really think our secondary is being put on their heels too much. Last week it was Waller, this week it was the bootleg. That simple bootleg action just torched us time and time again.

Run defense is still holding up fine except for a couple plays of horrible tackling. 3rd down and redzo e need a lot of work they dont play in sync with each other!

Hm? PJ and Jenkins, I guess. Sure. But Marcus WIlliams? Worst play I saw was when he was forced to turn and run with someone, which isn't expected to be a skill he has. Every other big play I've seen has gone away from him.
