I work in the pest control industry.
This happened at a customer's house due to high grass in the yard.
It felt like a fire ant bite at first...but within 24 hours the blister appeared and then doubled in size 12 hours after it first appeared.
The first picture is from yesterday...the second picture is from this morning.

Nasty. Fortunately, I can't remember the last time I ran into one. I've seen my share of black widows though. Never been bitten by either. The worst I've had were yellow jackets and bumblebees.

Fire ants are painful also, but if it's just one, tolerable, but a handful...yikes!

If you develop straight red lines radiating from the bite, get to the doctor quick. My wife had a brown recluse bite on her upper arm. The doc said it's fine, then she developed those red lines(blood poisoning) and a large animal vet we knew gave her a shot of cortisone near the bite. That took care of it. I'd get it checked out.

Showed your picture to my wife, she said it looked like her bite in the early stages.
This is my 3rd time getting bit by a brown recluse in 6 years.

The first time I had to go to a specialist and get it scraped out and I had to pack the wound with silver patches for 3 weeks.
I nearly lost my foot because of that one.
The 2nd time antibiotics cleared it up.

It's one of the many hazards of working in the pest control industry .

We also have to deal with copperheads, rattlesnakes and aggressive animals on a daily basis.

My father's cousin got bit by one years ago (just days after he retired) cleaning out his cabin (in remote WI). Didn't realize it was a spider bite, he died in the helicopter on the way to the hospital.

Nothing to mess around with, hope you heal well and completely woohoo

Ok....whatever that means.
It means that as far as this post goes, "pest control" seems a misnomer. Unless somehow it was your plan to end up with a quasi-gangrenous growth on your leg? If so, you are indeed a wunderkind of control (my bad,) but if as I suspect this was not in your plan at all then I am attempting to come up with a more apt term. I apologize if the term, "pest association" is causing problems with your union, I can see how that could be problematic...
