this is what keeps me up at night (1 Viewer)

I have listened to Ramble On no less than a few thousand times and never heard that that was a LOTR reference.
So Brown Sugar's about slavery and Ramble On is about LOTR. How come we don't have a thread telling us what songs are about?

i could make a new thread like this every night, and i would, but i am too lazy.

to start, who came up with ring around the rosie?

well, change that thought, the more pressing question is why? in fact, i have tried to research. the definitions vary, including the sources. i mean, seriously? it is a children's rhyme. probably some kind of sick scare tactic for youngsters, but still, i wanna know the meaning!
Relieved to see that this isn’t another of your Koala porn links…

We had something like that at some point. I’m still blinded by the light but don’t know why. I think I was wrapped up in a (female hygiene product) in the middle of the night.

Well, that's strictly misheard lyrics, Loose Wheel. This is about hearing the line "the darkest depths of Mordor" for, what, 45 years before today going, Ohhhhhhhh!

Okay, if anything DOES keep me up, it's not understanding why yesterday I didn't "get it" but today I do.

Not quite koalas but close

Last night I stayed up for about 10 mins thinking of what makes some ketchup "fancy", and some ketchup not. Looked it up on my phone, was satisfied with the answer and went soundly asleep.

It's ketchup that's all dressed. Or ketchup who's mom recommends she go into prostitution in order to survive.
