This one is on Payton and the Refs (2 Viewers)

The fumble was due to the pressure. I call that fumble on the LT
It was a bad call in a crucial, critical part of the game where WE had the ball on GB 43 and 2nd down and 3 and conceivably could've run the clock down further and scored a TD to put it away. But no, Payton had to be cute and try to prove for the forking umpteenth time how smarter he is than the other team's HC and DC and gets blown up more times then not.

I dont know why Payton believes he feels the need to be cute or continue this "playcalling arrogance" mindset where he thinks the same offensive plays that worked 5 years ago will work against same bewildered secondaries.

Honestly, this IS on Brees. And Payton AND Dennis Allen. Allen has gotten outcoached badly the last two games.
It was Payton's idea to run that stupid short run play with Taysom midway through the 4th quarter and Hill bumbles it and we lose our last real chance to score a winning TD. Payton has a problem of being cute in his decision-making and assuming he's smarter then opposing team's DC's. It is a aggravating mental disorder that's gotten worse and more acute over the years and frankly, Payton doesnt have same creativity and imagination in his gameplans then he did 8-9 years ago. Slowly, his calls have become a bit too stale and predictable.

THIS.

Loomis needs to have a talk w/ him. His job doesn't need to be that secure right now.

You obviously don’t understand the intricacies of football and strategy. There were many opportunities for Brees and Taysom for that matter to hurt the Packers deep and they couldn’t and didn’t. If you don’t have a deep threat qb in this NFL you are operating with a severe handicap.

Again... Brees played a solid almost error-free game yet the defense gave up 37 points and Payton did his usual unnessecary bone-headed play call which ultimately cost them them the game. But you think a guy who has turned the ball over 138 times in his past 5 seasons would've made a difference. It sounds Iike you don't understand basic football.

I agree with poster. This is on Payton and refs
