Everything about this game was so close to going either way on both the positive things as well as the negative things. But what was especially hard to watch was the highs & lows of our last touchdown by TreQuan Smith. As happy as I was to watch him score the go-ahead score, it was just as hard to see that there was still over 40 seconds left in the game.

It was a game of big plays and missed opportunities. But one thing is for sure... we have to find a way to make our go-ahead score with NO TIME left on the clock.

Anything more than 20 seconds remaining is just too much for our defense. And that's what hurts today.

Not gonna lie - there's a part of me that wasn't looking forward to potentially spending money on NFCCG tickets this year. It's lot of money to spend just to watch us potentially get screwed again or lose the game on yet another fluke play.

No matter how good or bad the team is, attending games honestly feels like a JOB most of the time, rather than a fun activity. And yet I can't stop buying season tickets.

The 2019 Saints are just so bizarre, though. Our D let HOU stroll down the field to take the lead in the season opener, then our D buckles down and plays the best football it's played in a long time....DAL had the chance to break our hearts at the end, but we held them, we won a rockfight in Jacksonville when our offense struggled all game....Our defense carried us on Thanksgiving night when our offense made mistake after mistake. But when we score 46 points, our defense plays by far its worst game of the season.

So, with the usual disclaimers of "yes, it's great we've clinched playoff spot" "yes, in the scope of Saints history this is one of the better seasons," "yes, they showed a lot of heart going 5-0 with Drew out"....This is a maddeningly inconsistent team that still hasn't put together a complete game all season. This might be the most schizo, all-over-the-place good team in Saints history.
