Take a look at the standings. There is not one division that has more than a one game lead. This time last year, the Saints and Colts had the division sewn up.

I did that ESPN playoff simulator just for kicks, and the last two weeks of the season were CRAZY! This is going to be one of the closest playoff races ever in the NFL. Teams will go from leading to their division to out of the playoffs to leading their division by the week.

Bye teams might have worse records than wild card teams. More teams are still vying for playoff spots than any other year at this point. It is WIDE OPEN.

Personally, after last season's domination, this is kind of fun. It's kind of like college football right now. Every game matters.

It will only get more exciting as the weeks progress. Cheers to us for getting to enjoy the ride!

Yeah, in reality the playoffs have already started. This is cool.

However, I would have rathered us to have been 11-0 with the South all but sewn up and vying for HFA throughout the playoffs, all the while watching the other divisions, other teams and their fan bases struggle and have cardiac arrests from week to week figuring out who's in, who's out and what seeding they are.

This is exactly what the NFL wanted when they decided to put divisional games in the last week of the season and where possible in week 16 and I applaud them for it. Many fans and some on this board said it was a terrible idea and tried to accuse Goodell for once again trying to throw his power around.

It'd be nice if the first 3 weeks and the last 3 weeks of every year were devoted to divisional match-ups. That way you get that playoff vibe early AND late in the year.

Fun??? Maybe. Preferred over last year??? Well,... let's just say, it doesn't compare.

There wont be any team "resting" players in the final 2-3 weeks like in years past. Its full throttle for everyone from now until the Super Bowl.
