He's shown a desire to get involved in Twitter stuff before; AB vs Mayock thing. No point us wringing our hands over it. Can't love him for his chip he carries around on his shoulder (which is why he's still pushing to improve after signing the mega contract) and then try to curb this side of his personality.
If the price for that passion is the occasional unnecessarily inflammatory tweet, I'll take that every day of the week and twice on Sundays!
You guys have to understand. Fights and shoving happens all the time. Seen punches thrown here and there. And sometimes helmets are being taken off. But in so rare case a helmet is use as a weapon. If this was a fist to the face, people wouldn't be so out raged about it. But Garrett did use it as a weapon. To say Rudolph is just as guilty is just plain stupid. What if it fractured his face or skull? Would you guys say it was still Rudolph fault?
Well he needs to come out and make a sincere retraction. This is not going to be good for him in any way, shape or form. It is said, it is done. Now man up and admit your shortsighted and emotional response, instead of a civil, more thoughtful response. Emotional reactions to negative situations, are never good.
Where ya at Mike?
Well I do not condone the helmet hit and I agree that he needs to be disciplined. But I don't think the law needs to be involved. It is obvious it was not premeditated and it was in the heat of the game and the result of a football play. Not something personal or a vendetta against anyone particular on the field. So the law shouldn't be involve with this. The NFL will step in but that should be it.It could be a felony. There is going to be significant fallout from this. Randolph may be able to file a civil case against Garrett. And local police (highly doubtful) could pursuit a felony charge. Lots to think about here. Going to be interesting.
You mad bro, because someone is calling out a Saints player? You can ignore my posts, you know!Ridiculous idea. You want to get him FURTHER drawn into this shirt? He doesn't see this issue the way you. Or the way the majority of us do. He has different life experiences and a different frame of reference (aka he's been in analogous situations in the NFL... You haven't). Quit trying to make everyone see the world the same way. You won't change his mind, you'll just make him feel as though he's not got support from inside his team.
As I said, this is part of him. It's not my take but I can appreciate that he can hold a different opinion & won't give him shirt for it. If you don't like it, don't root for the guy. If HE'D hit an opposing player with a helmet, it'd be a totally different situation but he didn't. He's a young man posturing. Someone had a weird with him, he deleted the tweet. He's moved on... And you want him to apologize? Smh. Get over yourself.
