I like it, let the real fans actually buy the tickets for a change. Probably take a little more time, but that's fine with me.

The way the system works is people can only go on line to Ticket Master to purchase the ticket, and they can only use a credit card to pay for it. The night of the show they’ll have to bring their ID and the credit card used to purchase the ticket to get inside. Fields say this will most likely cause problems the night of the big show so they are planning for those who forget either and ID or a credit card.

The reason so many parents are excited about this concert is because of the price. Unlike many other concerts, Miley’s is ticket-less meaning scalpers and ticket brokers won’t be able to purchase them, and sell them at higher price.

Works for me. But what keeps a guy from buying a bunch on line and then still selling available slots out front. Gathering them all and walking them in at once?

Admittedly that is an unlikely scenario.

Something like this should be done in the NFL. Paying $85 for $40 seats gets old really quickly.

Remembering your credit card and name on acid and bong hits isnt easy. Also you have to trust concert promoters not to rip you off after they have your money and before you are inside with no physical evidence that they took your money. Never a good idea

That happens one time and the whole thing would crumble, and every customer would get their money back at least through REG-E, and no performers would ever use a system that scammed their fans.

Soon enough we'll all have the scannable chip in our forehead for our national ID/unified credit card anyway, so nothing to forget. The technology is already proven with AVID microchips for pets.

Retinal scan software. As soon as you walk into the theater and automated voice a la Minority Report:

"Hello and welcome Mr Anderson & guest. Your seats are 24a & b on the balcony."

I like the idea, but, its already bitten me in the ***.

I bought/bid on "redzone" tickets to U2 in Atlanta, and got the tickets. $150 each. Have to show ID at will call and the credit card that was used to purchase it.

Great...

Well, have had a work situation come up and I cant go to the show...really sucks. Wife has been looking forward to it. And i cant sell the tickets to anyone else...

I was able to get the tickets changed to her name, but, im not crazy about her driving to ATL by herself and not sure who is going with her.

Anyway, something needs to be done about brokers...but, in reality, the acts and promoters in many cases, are totally in on it. There have been some recent articles in Rolling Stone about it.

while normally I would agree with you, paying 750 dollars for preseason games really sucks! I try to sell my tickets for face value, but it would be nice to recoup my 750 in preseason tickets...
