I'm not all THAT crushed over the loss yesterday (disappointed, ABSOLUTELY) after the season that our boys have had so far, but after seeing Ladell Betts run pretty consistently through our defense yesterday, I'm pretty concerned about these two for this coming weekend's game. The team as well as the coaching staff got what they deserved yesterday, IMO. You come out and give a half-*** effort in front of your home crowd like that, then you deserve the bittersweet loss.

I believe that the Giants' O-Line is definitely better suited to their "run first" style of offense, whereas our O-Line seems to be more geared towards pass-blocking protection.

G. Gibbs is gonna have to do some serious homework this week to prepare. And if Jammal Brown can't get it together this week to take on a returning/rested Strahan, it's gonna be another long day for Brees and the passing game.

Come on, fellas, please rebound this week and take it to the G-MEN!! Learn from your complacency and lack of drive from the Skins loss, and take that motivation and tenacity into the Playoff run!!

In the 3 weeks before yesterday's game we faced 3 of the best running teams in the league and dominated them. The problem yesterday wasn't the defense, it was that the offense could't sustain drives to keep the opponents offense off the field. If the "O" plays up to their normal level, we take opposing running backs out of the game.

We know our D is soft. They haven't played great all season and now with H.T. out teams are going to punish the middle of our D. What I did like was that they bent but did not break. They gave our #1 O opportunities to win the game. Even with the great day the Skins had on O they only put up 16 pts. We need our O to get back on track and perform like they have all season. If they do we walk into the playoffs with our heads up.

I agree, the D did what they could considering they were on the field a LOT more than they should've been. LT and LG were ESPECIALLY a sore spot throughout the entire game yesterday. Andre Carter is a decent end, but he's not elite by any stretch......Jammal and Nesbit/Evans (not sure who's plugged in at LG) gave a very poor performance yesterday.

I still wonder if it would be a good thing or a bad thing for the team to consider signing on Brenson Buckner for the last two weeks + the Playoff run. Even though he's 35, and has been out of football for a little while, it would allow us to be more flexible in rotating the DT's in and out to keep them as fresh as possible.

We better not see Shockey all alone the way Cooley was yesterday.

One thing we can hope for -- if we win, Coughlin will get canned because the NY fans still think of as the Aints. Losing to us at home would nail the err Coughlin shut.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. IMO, you're right.

When our O clicks, we score big points. That alone takes care of the oppositions running attack. Wash was able to run because they were always ahead.

True....and Wash was always ahead because Grant and W. Smith couldn't seem to get hardly ANY pressure on Campbell to get him to force errant throws.

No, they couldn't get any real pressure. I wonder if HT could have made a difference and gotten the double team to allow Grant and Smith the single coverage.

IF our OFFENSE doesn't show up we will loose again.

Agree on that, too. Our O-Line needs to seriously watch some game tape from yesterday to prepare for the pass rush that's gonna come from Strahan and Usimenyora(sp?).

The Giants pass rush is actually pretty mediocre. And I don't expect a half injured Strahan to make that big of a difference.

We just need Brees to come out and play a great game and I think we'll be fine, regardless of how many yards TIki and Jacobs get. Those 2 have been going nuts for 6 weeks now running all over everyone, but the Giants are 1-5 in that stretch.

The Giants D is so soft, if Brees can just get a rythm we can dominate them just like the cowboys. Thats a big if, but I like our chances.

...

Strahan was inactive again yesterday. Has anyone seen anything out of New York about how close he is to actually playing ?

On the few plays where we actually sent a blitz, we got pressure and Campbell's throws were off the mark. Too bad the DC didn't blitz a little more often.
