Yes, and Bowie wanted SRV to be the opening act on his tour at the time, but SRV was on the verge of greatness and couldn't be slowed down by a long term commitment.

TIL that this guy is actually a Sicilian named Espera de Corti and not Indian, and the Keep America Beautiful campaign was propaganda started by corporations to make individual viewers feel guilty and responsible for the polluted environment instead of the corporations that were working to conceal their role in polluting the landscape.



I fell for it - it's one of the most memorable commercials from my childhood.

Yup, guilt the masses for corporate failure. Falls right into line with the notion that the greatest trick the rich in the USA have ever pulled off is convincing the poor it's their own fault they're poor.
