With less than two weeks to the draft (April 25-26), the Detroit Lions still are being coy with their No. 1 pick. Is quarterback Matthew Stafford the chosen one?
Yes, if he can be signed before draft day, according to reports in the Motor City.
This week, teams will go into lockdown mode and begin to craft their strategies and mock drafts just as the so-called experts have been doing for weeks. The Times-Picayune NFL beat writers have targeted cornerback Malcolm Jenkins going to the Saints at No. 14 from Day One, and they don't see any reason now to change the pick.
