Titanic submersible es morte (1 Viewer)

Netflix's documentary gets deeper into the testing and the repeating failures of the carbon fiber hull during testing. Stockton's response to the cracking sounds emanating from the hull was that it was "seasoning".

I stopped when he compared the 787 crash and aluminum might not be best material.

!@$@ wad...the aluminum didn't fail.

How is he out here defending the design and use of carbon fiber when its been PROVEN that delamination occurred, which compromised the strength of the hull.

Nah eff that dude.

Yeah, he's getting drug in the comments on this video and on the videos of his actual USCG testimony in the hearing.

When he was asked by one of the Coast Guard people conducting the hearing if he would have felt comfortable going down in the Titan submersible, he first replied, "That's almost the best question here, isn't it?" He then began to relay the conversation he had with Stockton -- which ultimately lead to him being fired -- wherein Stockton indicated he wanted him to be the pilot that ran the Titanic missions. His reply? "I'm not getting in it."

Anecdotally, his Apple watch kept going off which he indicated was an alarm that told him his heart rate was abnormally high. I wonder how he sleeps at night.

Ive watched several docs now on the Titan.

As one explorer put " accidents happen- but accidents are things out of your control. This wasnt an accident. So then its criminal, right?"

This OceanGate company and just about everyone involved in the design, testing and operation of the submersible are complicit ( not all- but the engineers, testers, etc )

They didnt EVEN DEEP DIVE the Titan 2 prior to going down to Titanic. At ALL. The constant pressure/depressurization on the hull, dive after dive, all the "popping sounds" of the carbon fibers breaking, the storage of the Titan OUTSIDE IN the Winter in Nova Scotia, sub freezing temps for weeks on end....

Then charging folks $200,000~ per person?

just makes me angry that this whole thing was avoidable, but no one was able to stop it from happening.
