Titans and Vikings close their facilities due to Titans players and staff testing Covid-19 positive (UPDATE: Titans/Steelers postponed) (1 Viewer)

So let’s basically play 2 football games in a week? Injuries already through the roof in NFL.
i don't think that's what he was saying - he was saying bc MLB plays multiple games in succession, their cross exposure is probably greater than NFL
I was arguing that NFL proximity exposure is FAR greater and it's not an apt comparison

" NFL sent another strongly-worded memo to team executives, GMs and HCs today, urging all to be in compliance with game-day protocols (wearing masks). “We will address lack of compliance with accountability measures that may include...suspensions and/or forfeiture of draft picks.”

Can somebody use some SURGICAL STAPLES and tack a mask onto our Head Coach. You just KNOW that the NFL would love to pop the Saints and, since it would be our "second offense" to the mask policy, they would take some high draft choices from us. Just Superglue a mask onto his face.

I think football is WAY more problematic than basketball and baseball, if you start having to try and reschedule games. Baseball and basketball play multiple games per week, baseball can even play two games in one day. If you were to get more than 3-5 NFL games that need to be moved, the scheduling problems get much worse. If a team missed two or three games in a row, the ripple would be felt across the whole league. I hope they make it, not sure how it will work out. I don't think you can "make up" a few NFL games in a couple of weeks, teams playing on 4 days rest, 4 games in a row.... Nope, can't happen.

I think we are all in serious denial if we believe this is not going to get worse. This is a contact sport after all. Heck Drew alone with his hand licking thing is a ticking time bomb.

Shocking. Who could’ve predicted this might happen? 🤔
Like for real! I predicted before the season began, the NFL would probably make it thru about 6-7 weeks IIRC. It was not due to an all out outbreak, but more so relative to small clusters and games having to be postponed. The NFL schedule will become so jacked up, I do not see how division winners and wildcards...etc., will be able to be determined. It is not like baseball and basketball, where games can easily be rescheduled. The full season I still do not see happening. It will all blow up at some point. Probably sooner, rather than later. We’ll see. I wish there was a sportsbook offering an over/under prop on the number of NFL weeks played.

When the Marlins outbreak started there was a literal countdown till they finished the season. Many said there were too many games to make up, but they finished the season. The NFL will too.

I said it before, but it is really hard to compare the schedule in a sport where teams can play two games per day on every possible day of the week to a sport where players physically cannot and should not play more than one game per week and the schedule is built around most of the teams playing on Sunday. I'm not saying the NFL won't finish a season, but logistically I don't understand how every team is going to play 16 games by the end of that season.
