TMZ: Damian Swann arrest (on March 18th) video (1 Viewer)

This occurred back in March, by the way. He also had a permit for the weapons, but I like how they post a picture of them to make it seem like some other form of criminal activity is going on.

Cop was amazingly nice considering. Glad Damian didn't get belligerent with him.

I didn't listen to the video. But, I mean, I can understand trying to talk out of an arrest. And arrest could have ended his career. He'd probably gladly pay the fine for speeding.

Everything else was perfectly legal.

He possessed a gun, a large amount of cash, and a condom.

Gun - he's a defender
Cash - pay for performance
Condom - he's a cover corner

Perfectly legit.

Just curious...how does this get released or sold to TMZ? Guess the PD can do that?

Meh. I didn't think he did anything wrong. He has a permit. Seem cools. If this actually occur a while back, I don't know why that have to come out now. I really hate the media for stirring up crap. For the record, if he didn't do anything or possessed anything illegal, why arrest him? Just for speeding? I am glad this didn't turn bad. I hope they dismiss the charge.

My guess is that Georgia has a law where speeding 15-20 over the limit turns into reckless driving. Indiana does something like that.

Freedom of Information Act public records request.

Yes, though I'll add TMZ doesn't let ethics get in the way of a story. They engage in "checkbook journalism" and routinely pay people for leads, photos, etc. Remember the Tiger Woods fiasco with the black SUV? There's no way in hell that any self-respecting law enforcement agency freely gives away wreck photos without someone somehow getting paid on the slick to leak them. Same for the Ray Rice video. There is no way in hell a casino lets that footage out the door without someone somewhere up along the line being paid on the slick to do so.

Well I guess if that is the law, then it is what it is. I support law and enforcement first and foremost. I usually see police just issue a citation or tickets for traffic violation. Now I know different states have different laws regarding that.

why carry a gun in your pocket? and while driving? that don't make a lot of sense to me. I never carried in my pocket. while it was a .380 and not that big, still. there could have been a good chance it could have went off. but it was after his three concussions so maybe he wasn't thinking too much. lucky dude.

Sometimes it depends on the speed itself , 90-100 mph is excessive where 75 in a 60 is lesser

Of all the places, he thought "I play for the New Orleans Saints" would work in Georgia?

He should've used "I used to play for Georgia." Could you imagine a Someone trying to get off in Louisiana saying they played for the Falcons?
