Hi. Welcome to the board, and for those of you coming to the game, welcome to
my favorite city & state. It is well known that New Orleans is a fun place to visit, but
not so well known how much progress it, along with the Gulf South, has made after
the storm. Louisiana is beautiful, historic, and romantic. Hopefully you will have
time to explore.
For those of you just surfing the board, you probably already know our story. Rumors of
our demise were greatly exaggerated. There werent supposed to be any Saints fans
left to come to the games, and somehow we sold out the Superdome. We're pretty
darn proud of our team this year, and while most of the folks here are intelligent,
football-savy, and civil, bear in mind that this is, after all, the internet, so you will get
a few buffoons. Dont let them color your image of the rest of us.
Even our bitterest rival, the Atlanta Falcons have fans who come to New Orleans
expecting, and getting great hospitality, good times, and new friends.
I think I speak for the majority of us here, when I say you are welcome here to
talk some football, debate the outcome, talk about what your fans are saying,
or maybe compare being a Eagles fan with being a WhoDat.
My wife and I are season ticket holders (see avatar---note "Superdome" grooms cake---huaaah!)
who make the drive from Houston, our way of helping the team stay In N.O., and supporting its
small businesses. We wont be going this weekend, but if any of you are in Houston there is a
large following for the Saints here. Many of us on this board fill up enough of Houston sportsbars
to where you cant tell what city you're in. Just ask and we'll direct you, as we invite you to hang
out with us, despite who you're rooting for.
Be sure to visit the Gulf South for your next vacation. Have a great time here, and bring it on.
GEAUX SAINTS!
